Zoo Animal Words with Tibino
Tibino walks through the zoo from morning to evening and stops at sixteen animals. At every stop he says one English word slowly and asks the child to say it back.

Every stop has the same three lines. First the word on its own — "Lion." Then the word with one thing that fits it: a big lion, a fast cheetah, a tall giraffe, a round hippo, a fluffy alpaca. Then the question: can you say lion? The day moves through the zoo as the light changes — the big cats and the giraffe in the morning sun, the flamingo and the otter by the water in the afternoon, the wolf, the raccoon and the bison at the edge of the woods in the evening, and last the walrus on a snowy shore. Then Tibino is back at the gate and says goodbye.
Children between one and three, and families teaching English as a second language. Each sentence is two or three words long, the pattern never changes, and the question always comes last, so the child knows when it is their turn.
Sixteen zoo animal names in English, one simple describing word for each — big, fast, tall, round, little, fluffy — and the habit of saying a new word out loud.
